Before meeting with other past AASA presidents this Thursday morning, previous presidents Paul Imhoff (2021-22) and Sarah D. Jerome (2007-08) discussed the influence past presidents have on the current conferences. They emphasized the amount of change they have seen in the size of the organization and how AASA has been able to reach more people each year. They also reflected on the importance of staying resilient throughout the challenges that come their way.
During the meeting, former leaders spanning terms across decades shared stories from their terms and discussed their recent roles in education.
