This was such a fun original to write and it was different than everything I've written these past 2 years.

Last week I had no time to work on music and was trying to think of a composition I could write. Nothing was coming to mind, so I decided to sift through some old recordings of mine from 2020. During the early months of the pandemic, I recorded a lot of composition to try new things. And one of the originals I wrote reminded me a lot of Breath of the Wild. I was inspired by playing it on Twitch at the time. And as I've been sinking a lot of time into Tears of the Kingdom, I thought it'd be fun to try writing something inspired by Tears of the Kingdom! I love getting to hear the saxophones in the Sky Islands, it gives me chills every time. So I wanted to try writing my own version of the Sky Islands theme, integrating saxophones and flutes.

After deciding on the direction for this composition, I had 6 days to get everything together. And I'm honestly really happy with how everything turned out! I learned a lot about creating space in a mix and being selective with the moments to cut through everything else in the mix. It took quite a bit, but I'm happy with how it turned out!
