The feeling of triumph. When you set a goal and finally achieve, it’s a great feeling. It makes so much of what you went through, worth it. This track is meant to explore that walking on air feeling. Every time I worked on this track and heard it, it made me smile without fail. It just makes you feel good and like anything is possible!

I’ve never written a piece in Mixolydian (at least that I can recall), so that was a fun challenge! It really opened up different avenues to explore different emotions and create different settings! It almost had a triumphant feel to it because of the bVII that Mixolydian is kind of known for! It lessens the tension and allows things to feel light.

This track is fairly minimal with layers, but I wanted to focus in on using texture to really fill the space. How could I balance a lot of harsh textures with smoother ones and make it all fit together? The mix on the track was probably as smooth as the writing process. It really just blinked by and everything fell into to place really nicely!

As for the video, I wanted a lighter, softer color palette to match the light energy of the track. I just wanted to have fun and really showcase what this track is all about.
