Pastry ready to go
2 sheets thawed ready rolled puff pastry
250g grated red Leicester cheese (your choice)
250g grated mature cheddar cheese (your choice)
100g parmesan cheese (your choice)
1 egg beaten or wash
Recipe Instructions
1. Lay out one sheet of pastry
2. Mix the grated cheeses together and sprinkle evenly over the pastry
3. Put the second pastry sheet on top and press down firmly and roll over with rolling pin not to thin
4. Cut into strips, making 10 to 12. Pinch the ends of each strip firmly and twist.
5. Rest the straws for 20 mins and then wash with egg and sprinkle with more cheese
6. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake at 200°C for 10 mins – 20 mins or until puffed and golden and the cheese is melted.
7. Remove and serve stacked up on a board
