Peshawari Namkeen Gosht II Masala Cuisine II
Ingredients:
• Cooking oil: 2 tbsp
• Garlic chopped (Lehsan): 1 tbsp
• Cumin seeds (Zeera): 1/2 tsp
• Ginger chopped (Adrak): 1 tbsp
• Mutton pieces: 1 kg
• Roasted cumin powder (Zeera powder): 1 tsp
• Crushed red chili (Lal mirch): 1/2 tsp
• Roasted coriander powder (Dhania powder): 1 tsp
• Salt (Namak): 1 tsp
• Water (Pani): 1 cup
• Onions chopped (Pyaz): 4 medium
• Black pepper powder (Kali mirch powder): 1 tsp
• Green chili (Hari mirch): 2
• Butter (Makhan): 8 tbsp
• Tomatoes (Tamatar): 4 medium
• Yogurt (Dahi): 1/2 cup
Directions:
In a wok, heat oil.
Add garlic and saute for 30 seconds.
Add cumin seeds, ginger and saute for another 30 seconds.
Add mutton pieces, mix and fry for five minutes on medium flame or until the color changes.
Add roasted cumin powder, crushed red chili, roasted coriander powder, salt and mix well.
Now add water, onions, mix, cover and cook for 1 hour on low flame or until meat is tender.
Add black pepper powder, green chili, butter, tomatoes, yogurt, mix well, cover and cook on medium flame until oil separates.
