King Bhumibol's Travels : 70 Years of Unconditional Love

Описание: From a very young age, the pictures of King Bhumibol going from places to places, to every corner of Thailand, have been very familiar. His Majesty always carried a large paper map, a camera, and wore sneakers...full of muds. These scenes may have not surprised a young boy until that boy has grown up and learned that every place that King Bhumibol has been to has changed to the better. The lands have been developed. The people have had a better living and survived countless number of harms.

If you have traveled to Mae Hong Son, Chiangmai, and Chiangrai in Northern Thailand, you may have realised that our Hill Tribe friends love King Bhumibol so much. In 1969, King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit travelled to Northern Thailand and gave 'King's coins' to as an identity tool to many Hill Tribe families who did not have ID cards. They could show this coin to government officials to prove that they were citizens, so not to be deported from the country. Plus, His Majesty has gave an advice to local people to grow coffee, tea, and winter fruits instead of 'opium' - a kind of plant that is harmful to the country....Nowadays, if you travel to Doi Ang Khang, you'll have a chance to try delicious local organic salad. If you go to Doi Pui - Khun Chang Khien, you'll find nice strawberry farms. Or go beyond to Chiangrai, you can find a wide selection of local coffee and tea.

Some of us have travelled to Wat Huay Mongkol in Huahin to pay respect to Luang Pu Thuad. This area used to be very barren and undeveloped until King Bhumibol travelled there and initiated a royal project called 'Khao Tao Resevior'. Now, the local people's lives are never be the same.

King Bhumibol's travels are not for leisure, but they are driven from 'Love'...Love for Thai people. The travels are for studying of local people's living and finding solutions to develop those areas so that the people will have a better life.

Hey! Asean team greatly appreciate everything that King Bhumibol has created for us during His Majesty's 70-year reign. We will always remember and follow His Majesty's teachings and continue to create works that are useful for the people in the country and the global society.
