Floodwaters in Taree hit record high as hundreds rescued

Unprecedented floodwaters have inundated homes and businesses on the NSW Mid North Coast.
The NSW State Emergency Service has rescued about 300 people in the past 24 hours with dozens more still trapped.
Emergency warnings are in place for several areas with the Manning River peaking at 6.4 metres, breaking an almost 100-year record.
More rain is forecast for the coming days.
