[MUSIC PLAYING] As our devices become more powerful and intelligent than ever, it becomes increasingly complicated to successfully configure your microcontrollers and microprocessors. In today's fast-paced development environment, mapping your device's input and output functions and peripherals to the device pins on a board layout can be daunting. Rather than wasting time transferring data between your PCB layouts and embedded software projects by hand, you can now instantly share data with the integrated TASKING pin mapper in Altium Designer.
As your work nears completion on your microprocessor in your TASKING tool set, you'll then be ready to push all of your pin assignments, processor chip identifiers, and symbol names to a schematic blog in Altium Designer. This process is simple with an intuitive wizard that guides you through seamlessly translating your design data between your embedded software project and PCB design. And by the end of the wizard, you'll have a nicely finished schematic block of your microcontroller in Altium Designer with all of your original pin signal names and configurations.
And if you ever happened to end up with unwanted pin configurations, or maybe found yourself requiring software workarounds to manage a noise issue or other bugs, take advantage of Altium's intimate understanding of the net assignments in the design by using the pin swapping feature that dynamically reassigns the net on the pin and any connected copper and have the new pin configuration automatically pushed back through an ECO not only through a schematic but all the way back to your TASKING source code.
