Summer is the time of nebulas of the Milky Way. I decided to test #narrowband filters by #Optolong and make an #astrophotography journey to the remnants of a supernova: the Western Veil nebula also known as Witch's Broom or NGC6960 in the constellation of Cygnus. See the results of my experiment in the video!
The equipment used:
Mount: iOptron GEM45EC
Camera: QHYCCD 268M
Telescope: Askar FRA500
Filters: Optolong 2" narrowband 3nm Ha OIII SII
Guiding: QHYCCD 178M + QHYCCD OAG-M
13 frames through each filter x 5 min. Totally about 3 hours of exposure.
Software: PHD2, DSS, PS
Bortle 6 zone, the Sun is 12 degrees below the horizon
