Mugnano, the village of the painted walls or ‘Muri Dipinti’
It all started in the 1970’s when the village hosted some very prestigious Art exhibitions.
Over the years the idea evolved of creating a permanent exhibition and at the annual summer festival too 1983 the first eight artists left their impression on the houses of the village. Every summer festival more were added and now hardly a piazza remains untouched. Although originally the murals were painted by Italian artists it was later opened to international artists
