E' un gasteropode che a differenza degli altri, essendo carnivoro, mangia altri gasteropodi quindi sarà uno dei modi più efficaci e naturali per disinfestare il vostro acquario, inoltre non si riprodurrà con molta facilità quindi gli esemplari introdotti in acquario rimarranno più o meno dello stesso numero. Una volta finite le prede si ciberà di materiali di scarto o residui di cibo. Questo invertebrato è originario del sud est asiatico principalmente dalla Malesia, Tailandia, e Sumatra, proviene dalla famiglia Buccinidae. La lumaca killer è dotata di opercolo ma lo usa raramente, possiede un piede mobile ampio e lo usa per muoversi velocemente e per immobilizzare le prede.
