For those of us in the northern hemisphere, this is the darkest time of year. And as heavy as that can feel sometimes, it is actually a time of new beginnings. It’s like, if our dreams and projects were seen through a sports lens, this is the time of year that the pitcher starts winding up to throw a loooong pitch. It is the beginning of a new spiral. This is the time to begin new things, things that will grow and expand until, and beyond, the summer solstice, helped by the natural momentum of nature.
