FAA Part 107 is the portion of the FAA's rules governing the commercial operation of unmanned aircraft such as drones and RC airplanes. This update, sent out on April 21, 2021, covers a ranges of changes to Part 107 operations to include night operations and flight over people.

This update to Part 107 discusses the four categories of small unmanned aircraft systems, the need to no longer request a waiver for night flights, a discussion of the rules on flights over people, operations over moving vehicles, a beneficial change on currency testing for Part 107 remote pilot testing, a discussion of FAA inspection rules and finally a note on design and production of drones to meet these new requirements.
