If you’re thinking about it, don’t act—yet.
That single pause can change everything.
In moments of overthinking, urgency, or inner restlessness, most of us assume our thoughts need immediate action. This talk explores why that instinct often leads us astray, and how learning to pause can turn mental noise into clarity.
Rather than treating anxiety as something to eliminate, this talk reframes it as a powerful source of energy. When recognised early, tamed gently, and redirected deliberately, that same restless drive can become focus, discipline, and better decision-making.
Through real-life experiences and a simple framework - Recognise. Tame. Redirect. (RTR), this talk offers a practical way to create space between thought and action. Over time, that space becomes a skill. And with practice, it becomes a form of mental discipline.
Anxiety isn’t the enemy. Reaction is.
This talk is for anyone who has felt stuck in their head, rushed into decisions, or wished they could respond with more calm, especially in moments that matter most. Dr. Bhuvan Chugh is a leading voice in India’s oncology landscape, combining clinical leadership, genomic innovation and public health advocacy. His work focuses on breast, thoracic and hepatobiliary malignancies, with a strong emphasis on real-world application of precision medicine.
Trained in molecular oncology and actively engaged with the genomics industry, Dr. Chugh advises leading diagnostic platforms and contributes to national precision-oncology initiatives. He is the first author of a seminal publication on CSF-based genomic sequencing in EGFR-mutant lung cancer with leptomeningeal disease and has presented extensively at ASCO and ESMO, including receiving the ESMO Best Poster Award (2024). Recognised as a BW 40 Under 40 healthcare leader, he is also a widely followed public educator, using mainstream media platforms to advance cancer awareness and informed decision-making. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
