Holkham Estate - Wells Beach Bus (Wells Town to Wells Beach) - 2022 Mellor Sigma 7 Electric Bus

Описание: Replacing the Wells Harbour Railway after it closed in September 2021, a new shuttle bus service between Wells Town and Wells Beach, known as the Wells Beach Bus was introduced by ‪@PinewoodsHolidayPark‬ (owned by Holkham Estate) in July 2022 to replace the Harbour Railway, and the service runs daily from Spring until October from 11am to 4pm, running on a flexible service rather than a set timetable to accommodate passenger demand and weather conditions. There are two bus vehicles in Holkam Estate's fleet that run on the service, a Battery Electric powered 2022 Mellor Sigma 7 Midibus (which is the main vehicle for the route as it's wheelchair, mobility and pram/pushchair friendly), and a Diesel powered Vintage 1951 Open-topped Leyland Tiger Single Decker Bus (which runs in the summer and on holiday weekends alongside the electric bus, although due to the heritage nature of the bus, it isn't fully accessible to those with reduced mobility, wheelchairs and those carrying prams and pushchairs).
Fares for the route are single fares only, with it costing £2 per Adult, £1.80 for Concessionary Bus Pass Holders, and £1 per Child, and payments are by card only.
Although it's the shortest bus route that I've been on, I plan on returning in the high summer to do a video of the bus journey on the open-topped 1951 Leyland Tiger when it runs.
