The BPL has nearly 4 million visitors per year, including students doing higher studies in the colleges and universities around besides ordinary citizens.

Some facets of its classical art, architecture, serenity and modern library services are briefly presented in this compilation of photos taken during personal visit at this historic cultural institution in the evening of 10 July 2025.

The Central Library gives a feel of being in a museum, an art gallery, or a cathedral and not just a municipal library..... One can't have enough of the magic of BPL in a visit of few hours!!

The beautiful spaces of the BPL are validated by the fact that occasionally one sees young couples getting their pre-wedding shoot done here!! On select Mondays of a month, the BPL offers a designated hall for 1-hour Wedding Ceremony for limited guests for a small rental.
