While 500 piece puzzles fit nicely in an 18x24 inch frame, finding a frame that matches to fit the awkward sizing of 1,000 piece puzzles (19 1/4 x 26 5/8 inches) can be difficult and/or expensive.
Your next best option is to size up to the more standard 20x28 frames. This presents its own challenges like alignment issues, gaps, and bowing of the plexiglass. I take care off all of that in this video.
Overall, with all material costs included for the glue ups and framing, each puzzle frame averages out to under $30 (closer to $25 I'd say).
You might not have or want to do a gallery wall like I did, but I hope at least you find some of these tips and methods useful for your own puzzle framing needs!

As for the decorative trim, I'd recommend going to your preferred hardware/lumbar store. While there, also pickup some loctite or another general all-purpose adhesive.
