Visiting BAD WINDSHEIM and Hoheneck Castle. To formal or great to see? (Germany)

Описание: Welcome to a new video at Franconia. Today we visit the town called Bad Windsheim with its best places to see and make a quickly brief to Hoheneck Castle. Find out in this video what can you in a town which is known for its open air museum but not really for its streets and places.


The visit at Bad Windsheim and Hoheneck Castle:
I went by car to Bad Windsheim to find out how looks like the town which is known for its open air museum. I went from the street which lead to the castle and market place to the church. At next I stoped at the fountain and walked from this place in front of the castle where the major house is inside as well. To my surprise a band was playing.
Behind this place was a memorial place with a 11 meter high stone figure which shows boards with falling people in the world war I and II. At next I came to the old school of Bad Windsheim where today a restaurant is inside. Bad Windsheim was a nice town and from its buildings typical for Franconia.
At the second part I made a short brief to Hoheneck castle. Today a education center for school groups and students are inside but the building looks nice and in particual the view to the landscape.


Hoheneck Castle:
The Castle is loceated at the summit of a hill, at the Low mountain range called Frankenhöhe. In the past the Castle was in own of the royal family Hohenzollern and for some years a education center for school groups, young people and students. Only a few times in the year the castle is Open for everyone. On a good weather the sight is going to Ochsenfurt, Wurzburg, Bad Windsheim and the landscape.
According that Hoheneck was in the past in own of the Hohenzollern is this castle a known place of the ghost of the royal family the countness called Kunigunde of Orlamünde. In the hall of the Knights was long years a picture of the countness. Sometimes at night the picture had no figure. According to the say was this the time where the countness went into the halls and floors of Hoheneck. For more Info visit:
