The unique Les Nogers Blanc de Blancs Trilogy features a 75cl bottle of each of the following three outstanding champagne vintages: Les Nogers BdB 2012, Les Nogers BdB 2013 and Les Nogers BdB 2014. The wines from Adrien Dhondt focussing on the Chalk Terroir of the Côte des Blancs are made in this focussed and pristine way, they really benefit from time to allow all the elements to harmonise and this very limited release case allows you to see his champagne as never before, long lees time and the expressions from three fantastic vintages.
Dhondt-Grellet Les Nogers Cuis Premier Cru Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut 2012: The 2012 weather has been hallmarked by many as very challenging but has created some stunning Champagne. Relatively low yields due to various weather conditions throughout the year. The winter months brought some frosts and hail which damaged the early stages of bud burst. August and September were very warm and this helped rescue and give the grapes a stunning maturity.
Dhondt-Grellet Les Nogers Cuis Premier Cru Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut 2013: 2013 was characterised by a particularly late growing cycle. The never-ending winter was followed by a very cool, late spring. we had to wait until the start of July for flowering to begin – something we hadn’t seen in Champagne for quite some time! Fortunately, summer was glorious with plenty of sunshine, record temperatures and very low rainfall, ideal for the ripening of the Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays. the temperatures were cool for the October harvest and the resulting wines are elegant and fresh – the signs of a “classic” vintage.
Dhondt-Grellet Les Nogers Cuis Premier Cru Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut 2014: 2014 was characterised by mild temperatures and frequent rainfall and a few weeks of high temperatures, a very solid vintage with good ripeness and acidity. Flowering began in June and summer was a combination of dry, wet and cold spells. Some regions saw some disease and Meunier in the Marne Valley didn’t have a great year and some of the Pinot Noir with its thinner skin made it more difficult for the red grapes. Harvest took place from 8th to 20th September. A year where it was necessary to select the red grapes carefully to maintain high quality. In general Chardonnay is the star of the vintage.

“2013 | 2.8 grams per liter dosage, the 2013 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru Les Nogers displays notes of fresh peach, crushed chalk, beeswax and walnut oil. On the palate, it's full-bodied, deep and multidimensional, with racy acids, chalky structuring extract and a long, mineral finish. From a Cuis lieu-dit that segues from sandy to chalky soils as one ascends the slope, this is a formidable Blanc de Blancs in the making.”

“2014 | 2.5 grams per liter dosage, the 2014 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Premier Cru Les Nogers is showing beautifully, offering up an expressive bouquet of fresh peach, ripe lemons, golden orchard fruit and hazelnuts. Full-bodied, rich and fleshy, it's vinous and enveloping, with a concentrated core of ripe fruit, elegantly muscular structure and a fine, pinpoint mousse. Long and expansive, this derives from 50-year-old vines from a northeast-exposed lieu-dit in Cuis, characterized by chalky soils with pockets of sand. It's another brilliant Champagne from Adrien Dhondt.”
