Vasco municipality councillors along with local MLAs met Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant at his chamber in the Goa Assembly today to raise serious concerns over the growing coal pollution in the port town.
During the meeting, the delegation strongly highlighted the hardships faced by Vasco residents due to coal dust and pollution linked to port activities. The leaders urged the Chief Minister to take immediate and strict measures to control pollution and protect the health of the people.
The councillors and MLAs emphasised that the issue has become a major concern for the residents of Vasco and demanded effective steps to ensure that pollution levels are brought under control.
Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant assured the delegation that the government will look into the matter and take necessary steps to address the concerns raised.
