Taxi operators thank government led by Pramod Sawant after Transport Minister Mauvin Godinho orders removal
In a major relief to yellow and black taxi operators at Goa International Airport, the rate chart displayed at the GoaMiles counter has been removed. Taxi operators said the chart had been affecting their business as many tourists preferred the app-based service after comparing fares.
Operators described the decision as a big victory and thanked the government led by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant for acting on their long-pending grievances.
The move reportedly came following instructions from Transport Minister and Dabolim MLA Mauvin Godinho, who also directed police and other agencies to take strict action against touts operating at the airport premises.
