Daniel is a Professor of Philosophy at Purdue University and Director of the Cognition, Agency, and Intelligence Center, where he explores how the mind, morality, and evolution shape human behavior. His work sits at the intersection of philosophy of mind, cognitive science, and moral theory, with a focus on understanding the psychological foundations of ethical judgment. We discuss his new book, "Somebody Should Do Something: How Anyone Can Help Create Social Change." In this book, the authors show us how we can connect our personal choices to structural change and why individual choices matter, though not in the way people usually think.

He is also the author of "Yuck! The Nature and Moral Significance of Disgust", a widely recognized book examining how emotions like disgust influence moral reasoning and social norms.
