Wow! I lost so many trees! You may say it was just pure luck but I believe that God spared the cabin from major damage. What a horrible feeling to arrive at the weekend homestead to find heavy storm damage. So much for a relaxing 4th of July! I feel very fortunate to have narrowly escaped disaster. The off grid property will still require a lot of tree cutting but the tiny cabin remains unscathed and that is what is important. I still managed to get out fishing and caught a few northern pike but nothing worth saving for the frying pan. Any day out in the canoe and sunshine is still a success! I'm happy to say that like the cabin, I remain unscathed, even though I tackled a very dangerous damaged tree. There is a reason they are called widow makers and they are no joke!
