Welcome to the weekend homestead vlog!
The Minnesota deer season has come and gone and deer camp is just a distant thought. The memories remain and every time I sit down to a meal of venison I will remember those moments. The rain, the snow, the time spent with my son and my german shepherd, River, in our little piece of wild Minnesota. Part of my goal with the off grid land is to become more self reliant and live off the land as much as possible. But, harvesting wild game or foraging edible plants is second to relationships and time spent together with friends and family.
As winter arrives at the weekend homestead it's time to start working towards finishing the interior of the tiny cabin. Installing a sink, hanging shelves, nailing trim and finishing the cabinet wall. I will use the cold and darkness to my advantage so that when spring arrives I will be ready to move on to the summer kitchen and sauna projects. I hope you enjoy hanging out with us.
