This documentary by the Ontario Provincial Police offers a glimpse into the stories behind the investigation, featuring two men who I got to know while covering the trials for the killings of Tim Bosma, Laura Babcock and Wayne Millard, each of which ended with a conviction against Millard for first-degree murder: Detective Inspector Dave Hillman and OPP computer forensic specialist Jim Falconer, both now retired.
In it, the OPP tells how sifting through 31 terabytes of digital evidence of cell phones, browser history and social media posts they linked three murders to Millard. The OPP promise this is one in a series of mini-documentaries on similar cases.
