The heists were organized with military flair. Millard called them “missions” and recruited a crew from his circle of friends for specific tasks — lookouts, scouts, drivers — and paying them if a heist was successful, court heard.
Dellen Millard, 30, of Toronto and Mark Smich, 28, of Oakville are on trial for first-degree murder in the case of Tim Bosma, who vanished May 6, 2013, after accompanying two strangers on a test drive of the pick-up truck he was selling online from his home in the Ancaster community of Hamilton, Ont., Canada.
