Описание: Josie Willis, a Michigan State-bound forward at San Marcos High in California, scored a first-half goal for the visiting Knights in a 1-1 Palomar League girls soccer tie at Del Norte High of California. Willis extended her streak of matches scoring a goal to seven consecutive contests, improving her career-high total to 20 this season and 60 during her varsity career, in addition to 11 more goals while competing at the junior varsity level in 2022-23 as a freshman. Willis has produced 11 goals during her impressive seven-match streak, including both scores for the Knights against Del Norte, along with a 2-1 setback Jan. 21 at San Marcos. Del Norte maintains a slight edge for first place against San Marcos with two regular-season contests remaining. The Knights are looking to repeat as league champions, with Del Norte pursuing the program's first championship since 2020.
