If you have a disc hernia (or if you don't want to have one) or lower back pain, you have to decompress your spine several times a day. This means stretching your muscles... but bear in mind that any pain will create muscle contraction instead of muscle relaxation!
Here, I show you how to progressively relieve spinal compression so as to avoid pain in the back. It is extremely important that you always stay within your comfort zone. Hence, going from step 1 to step 4 may take weeks! If you doubt whether these exercises are good for you, consult your GP or PT.
