Today I'll show you how to make a Slushie using the new 7UP Tropical. While the recipe is simple, you can use it as a guideline to make any kind of slushie you want using just a spirit, soft drink, and some additional sugar.

📖 Recipe 📖
Full 64 oz | 1892 mL
Soda: 48 oz or 1,419 ml
40% ABV Spirit: 16 oz or 473 ml
Granulated sugar: 71.6 grams

This 7UP Tropical came in at 11 Brix which is similar to other sodas like Coca-Cola. If you estimate any soda to be around 11 Brix you can use 3.5 tbsp of sugar per 64 oz to end up with an ideal slushie texture. If you are using a soda that has a little more sugar, you could add a little less sugar. But overall, 3.5 tbsp per batch is a good place to start.
