Flies for Trout Fishing | Midge Fly Patterns | Palomino Midge
Another in our flies for trout fishing series. In this fly tying video Sean shows you how to tie the palomino midge fly pattern. We learn how to use the hackle stackeing technique and how to use chenille to create an extended body. An imitation of an emerging midge pupa commonly known as a buzzer. The combination of the detached body, peacock herl and stacked hackle on top of the body, make this fly irresistible to trout and grayling alike. A must have dry fly and great fun to tie. Give it a go.
