Another from our Flies for trout fishing series. In this fly tying tutorial video, Andrew Herkes shows you how to tie his version of a Hot Orange Octopus. This Loch Style Wet Fly has its origins in traditional bumble fly patterns and was created by Scottish Fisherman Stan Headley. This is an excellent fly pattern for brown trout and rainbow trout. Particularly effective when fished through waves and during mayfly hatches. These traditional loch style flies still have a place in modern day fly fishing and are well worth tying.

Body Hackle - Cock Hackle Hot Orange
Tail - Globrite #5
