Snowshoeing the White Mountains of New Hampshire for Winter Finches

Описание: In this episode, I head north to the White Mountains in search of winter birds and high-elevation specialties. Snow-covered peaks, spruce-fir forest, and that quiet you only get in the mountains this time of year.

One of the highlights of the trip was snowshoeing through Pondicherry National Wildlife Refuge — wide-open views of the Presidential Range, frosted trees, and prime habitat for boreal species. Winter birding up here is different. Slower. Quieter. But if you listen carefully and put in the miles, the mountains give you something back.

I’m searching for classic northern specialties, soaking in the scenery, and sharing what winter birding in New Hampshire really looks like — snowshoes, cold fingers, and all.
