For video number nine in my birdsong ID series, it's to soak up the melodic, warbling goodness of the Blackbird, or Mwyalchen in Welsh.
For such a widespread and common species, this thrush produces arguably one of the best sounds in the British landscape. Just listen to it!!!
Hopefully this video will help you get to grips with the song's character and form so you're better able to pick out the tune amidst the other species taking to the soundscape as spring emerges.
