Choosing a weather window to set up a Zoom f3 and Micbooster Clippies drop rig for a bird survey in the Cefn Ddu Forestry Plantation.
It's important to find a weather window without much wind and rain to record birds because you either can't hear the birds or they are taking shelter from the elements and don't call or sing at all.
Do some planning by checking the local weather forecast, however forecasts are not always correct, especially if you live in mountains near the sea.
