This etouffee is made by Louisiana Fish Fry products. It's very good and you really don't have to add any other seasonings to it, though I will probably add a bit of Cayenne next time I make it.
From now on when I make and etouffee, I'll just buy this. It's that good.
Ingredients:
2 C water
5 TBS butter
1 LB raw shrimp, peeled and de-veined
1 packet of the base
Melt butter. Add the base and cook for 5 minutes on a low heat.
Add shrimp and water. Blend well. Bring to a boil
Cover and cook for 15 minutes on low or until the shrimp is done to your liking. Serve of rice.
