The Color Separation DCTL for DaVinci Resolve uses a unique mathematical approach to introduce color separation to your image around the hue & saturation of your subject. You're able to select a target color, either with sliders or by using a color picker tool, and then control the strength of color separation to introduce around that target color. Additional fine-tuned customization options allow this adjustment to be refined based on luminance, saturation, and more. The result is a quick and elegant way to make your subject and color palette pop with increased color contrast – or go in the opposite direction towards a unified, monochromatic look. Perfect for both beginner and professional colorists to grade eye-catching, cinematic images in a fraction of the time.

The new v1.3 update adds the ability to control hue in a similar way, giving you more control over what colors are introduced by the Color Separation DCTL. It also improves the way the High Sat Mask is handled under the hood, prioritizing smooth results. Lastly, the Separation Method dropdown has been changed to a slider, allowing you to blend between both original options and give a more customized result.
