We start the day at West Chicago where the Union Pacific Geneva Subdivision crosses the EJE, CN's main route around Chicago. An ongoing labour dispute in Canada was effecting traffic between Canada & the United States but we were still able to catch quite a few CN trains as well as plenty of UP & Metra commuter trains. Traffic was much lighter than normal and I didn't tape a few trains on the CN that had passed.

Later in the day we headed upto the CPKC in search of some SD70's catching the afternoon rush and a few more CN's before heading to Rochelle, IL for the night with a quick stop for a pair of UP intermodal trains.
