We wanted to visit the Bang Nam Phueng Floating Market in Bangkok. When we found out it was closed, we took a Grab to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market instead. Although it took about an hour and a half to get there, we arrived later in the afternoon and discovered that it was very quiet, with some shops already closing. This actually turned out to be a good thing, as we had the boat all to ourselves! Halfway through the ride, our driver suddenly cranked up the speed and gave us a surprise dash through the canals — it was so much fun, though at times it felt quite dangerous! It was such an awesome experience and definitely a highlight of our trip to Bangkok.
