Описание: Museum of Contemporary art is in the Belem district in Lisbon, Portugal, almost directly across the Praca Imperio from the Jeronimos Monastery; on the block west of Imperial Square. The museum is also accessible from Av Brasilia via stairs from the street level

There are some really impressive works in here but there is also, I imagine because of the name, a lot of 'modern' or 'contemporary' art. Many of these pieces lack proper context or description. There is no indication of why, for example, shop drawings by a carpenter or the soiled dropcloth of a painter. are considered to be 'ART', See the article linked below for an expansion of my thoughts on the how and why this matters to us plebes.

Having said that, if you have any interest in art, this is well worth your time. We (I) spent two hours wandering the galleries. Sandra was finished somewhat more quickly than that. There is no logical 'flow' that we could establish so there is a bit of backtracking sometimes.
