Las Pozas -"the pools" is a unique collection of concrete sculptures, located in a forest just outside of Mexico City. The concrete sculptures are the work of British poet Edward James.
The sculptures were constructed between 1949 and 1984. The collection cost $5 million to build.
In order to fund the project, James sold off his collection of surrealist art. James was known to be a big supporter of Surrealist art, including Salvador Dalí and René Magritte.
