Using the Kimura grip to take the back, we looked at an arm bar, one arm rear naked choke option. Hand fighting from the back mount is an important part of this position. Depending on what our opponent does with his hands, can determine which submission we go for. Gordon Ryan has been so good at using this position and I’ve learned a lot about the way he grips. I’m a brown belt with 8 years of grappling experience. Chris Brennan and Reilly Bodycomb are two of the main influencers of my style. I’ve trained with and under to some extent over a period of 5 years. I hope this helps you as much as I have been helped by others in the Jiu Jitsu community.
