Stuffed Greenbell Peppers With Red Miso (Japanese-Style) Recipe Serves 4 ピーマンの肉詰め赤味噌入り作り方
Ingredients (For 4 servings / about 10–12 stuffed peppers)
For the peppers
• 10–12 green peppers (Japanese piman or bell peppers), halved lengthwise, seeds removed
For the meat filling
• 500 g ground meat (pork or pork & beef mix)
• 1 medium onion, finely chopped
• 1½ tbsp red miso (akamiso)
• 1 egg
• half cup of breadcrumbs or panko
• salt & pepper, to taste
• Half cup of milk

Instructions
1. Prepare the peppers
Cut peppers in half lengthwise and remove seeds.
2. Make the meat filling
In a large bowl, mix ground meat, onion, red miso, eggs, breadcrumbs, and salt & pepper , milk until well combined.
3. Stuff the peppers
Fill each pepper half tightly with the meat mixture. Press gently.
4. Cook
Heat large frying pan over medium heat.
Place peppers meat-side down and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned.
Turn over, cover with a lid, and cook for another 6–8 minutes until fully cooked.
6. Serve hot with rice or salad.
