Vocab Wednesday: Difficult Words from the Magoosh GRE Product

Описание: In this GRE Vocab Wednesday video, Chris Lele from Magoosh goes over words from the Magoosh GRE practice questions. The first word in the video is "blandishment," which is a flattering or pleasing statement that's used to persuade something to do someone. There's usually some kind of deception involved. Next up is "impugn," which means to call something into question. Then we have "ostensible." This word means means apparent, or stated to be true but not necessarily so. When the GRE announced changes to the test in 2012, it was ostensibly to improve the test. However, it's possible that the test makers simply wanted to catch up with the GMAT's growing popularity! The last word in the video is "vitriolic," which refers to very bitter criticism or malice.
