Lake Clark National Park is one of the most beautiful and remote places in Alaska, only accessible by small plane. In this vlog, we hike part of the Tanalian Mountain Trail and Tanalian Falls (about 10 miles total, ~2,000 feet of elevation gain), explore Chulitna Lodge, and experience the thrill of bear viewing at Katmai National Park. If you love Alaska travel, hiking, or want to see what life is like nearly 200 miles from the nearest road, this video is for you!

Hike Info: We didn’t make it all the way to the summit of Mount Tanalian (that’s closer to 4,000 ft of elevation 😅), but the hike we did was still an incredible challenge and offered amazing views. More info: Alaska.org Tanalian Mountain Trail

Getting There: We flew in on a small plane to Port Alsworth and then took a boat to Chulitna Lodge.
