Redbridge Group Director Simon Welsh claims Labor heartland seats are now becoming “highly contestable” as the party continues to lose support from voters.
“Those once proud red wall type seats that Labor had called its own for so long are now really becoming highly contestable,” he told Sky News Australia.
“The result we saw on the weekend in the Werribee byelection down in Victoria was in many ways decades in the making. So, this is voters feeling like they’ve been neglected, been taken for granted.”
