Jeffrey Epstein associate Peter Mandelson has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
Mandelson, who recommended disgraced ex-Prince Andrew to serve as the UK trade envoy, allegedly shared information with the paedophile.
On Tuesday, Mandelson was led by police as Scotland Yard investigates allegations that he shared sensitive government and market information with Epstein.
Mandelson allegedly shared the information with Epstein while serving as an MP and UK business secretary.
The arrest follows the release of millions of files tied to Epstein, which showed Mandelson’s correspondence with the paedophile in 2009.
The documents revealed that Epstein demanded that Mandelson amend a 50 per cent tax on bank bonuses to apply to cash, not share options, The Australian reports.
