This, folks, is the song (or, rather, songs) that introduced me to djent and its adjacents. This very chart is the reason why I like Meshuggah nowadays. Why I like Humanity's Last Breath. It's all because of Periphery. From this song I listened to this album, which is still one of my favorites nowadays, and then Periphery's discography, and then came Meshuggah, came a newfound appreciation for Jinjer which I already knew at the time... most of my current music taste can be traced back here.
This is the old chart from back when Clone Hero didn't even have open notes, which makes the chart a liiiiittle odd because, you know, djent is the 0-0-0-0-0 djenre. I chose this chart because even though it doesn't have open notes it's a lot more fun to play than the new version, which doesn't have moments like 10:26, replacing it with boring sustains and which for some reason includes the electronic outro to Ragnarok? I always thought that was such a weird choice, when going directly to Masamune (well ACTUALLY it's the tail end of Mile Zero) like happens here is such a smoother experience. Oh well.
