Tour of Ancient Luxor, Egypt🇪🇬 | Karnak, Valley of Kings, Tombs, Luxor Temple & Temple of Hatshepsut

Описание: Thebes! The Old Capital of Ancient Egypt is my next stop in my tour of Egypt. First of all I would like to mention the gap between this video and my previous one was due to breaking my hand right after uploading my last video, so it was quite difficult to edit and do my University work at the same time. But I am out of my cast so hopefully the uploads will go back to normal. So anyways the video starts off in Cairo Central Station where you are able to pay for a sleeper train on a 10 hour journey down the Nile eventually reaching Luxor, and Aswan. Once I got to Luxor my host guided me to my hotel on the West Bank of Luxor. The next day I taxi to the Karnak Temple known to be the 2nd most visited site in all of Egypt. The massive complex wasn't entirely open to the visitors because of continuing archeological work, but you can't even tell since the complex is way too big to see in one day anyways. After leaving the temple and a lunch break I visit the Luxor Museum to see the artifacts that were excavated from the area and especially the Karnak Temple. My day ends with crossing the Nile back to my hotel to have some food and relax with an Egyptian Shisha. The next day we begin with a full tour of the world famous Valley of Kings a place where for a period of nearly 500 years from the 16th to 11th century BC, rock-cut tombs were excavated for the pharaohs and powerful nobles of the New Kingdom. After visiting many colorful tombs we visit the nearby Temple of Hatshepsut who was the Greatest Queen of Ancient Egypt. I really don't understand how a giant temple like that was created 1500 years before the Colosseum, and was underground for thousands of years until the discovery of the temple in the 1900s. On the way back to my hotel we do our final stop of the tour, which was the recently restored Colossal Statue of Amenhotep III standing at 21 meters tall and extremely heavy. After some more food I decided to spend my evening by visiting the Luxor Temple during its Night & Lights, which I highly recommend. But after that surreal time, my night isn't over because my host Yassar invited me to his house for a BBQ with his friends where we talked and joked till 3 in the morning.
