Full Tour Through the Wadi Rum and Aqaba, Jordan🇯🇴 | Desert Landscape, Lawrence of Arabia & Red Sea

Описание: For my last video in Jordan I decided to combine my footage from the beautiful city of Aqaba that is on the Red Sea, and my footage in the Wadi Rum because I believe the videos meld together really together rather than apart. Anyways after witnessing one of the coolest historic site on the planet Petra, I took a bus to the Southern-most city in Jordan, Aqaba. Aqaba is a beach city and where more Jordanians go to enjoy their vacations. I personally really enjoy this place not because of the beach really, but because of the nice locals I came across with, it seemed like every interaction I had there was positive. After settling up at the Hostel, I met a fellow tourist and decided to try out some traditional Jordanian/Arabic food. The food and service ended up being really great, I actually still miss that Rose Water or Juice till this day haha. The next day I took a bus from Aqaba to the Wadi Rum, which was already prebooked with the Wild Wild Wadi Rum. I met some of the family running the company, and eventually set out for my journey through the beautiful Wadi Rum Desert. Our first stop was the Lawrence Spring where the famous British Officer T.E. Lawrence spent time at during the Arab Revolt in the First World War 105 years ago. After some time hiking up to the Spring we took a tea break that I didn't get on film unfornately. Some driving further up brought up to the Al Ramal Red Sand Dune where you can see the Red Sand on this rock formation eventually leading up to quite a nice view of the sort of center of the Wadi Rum. Nearby was my favourite spot; the Khazali Canyon filled with thousands of inscriptions from the old Thamud, and Nabatean (later Arabic too) people across the canyon walls. The inscriptions describe the life their people, and how it was like in the desert here at the Wadi Rum. You can also find old writings of their language that predates the Arabic language. My last stops of the tour were both the small and large Rock Arches sort of further away from the rest of the sites. I personally had a blast during this part of the tour because we spent a lot of time driving, so I can just enjoy the Wadi Rum uninterrupted. After my tour of the Wadi Rum I waited for my bus back to Aqaba where I would decide to swim in the Red Sea in the evening, which was pretty nice because I was able to swim without that much of the heat the city faces during the midday. I met some locals on vacation, and we had some races with swimming that I didn't film, and talked A LOT haha. After the sun went down I decided to take a stroll through downtown Aqaba along the Red Sea eventually running into the Ancient Islamic City of Ayla, which was the first ever City founded by the Muslims outside of traditional Arabia. While my footage was bad I felt like to keep it in since, it provides some context of where Aqaba was originally founded at. I pushed on to get some groceries, and took a look at the local supermarket, and a sweet shop with some Arabic sweets that are too delicious for my consumption. I decided to end the vlog at this local Shisha cafe that I ran into earlier, and after the shisha to smoke I was invited to take part in this card game some Jordanians were playing. I wasn't sure of the rules, so I decided to watch, and enjoy some time talking, which ended up happening off camera haha. Overall my time in Jordan was an unexpected favourite of my travels so far, and I would like to thank the people I met along the way I had a wonderful exprience in the country of Jordan, and I recommend anyone interested to visit. My next vlog will be in a new country, and I have a lot of footage in this place, and I mean A LOT so stay tuned for that thanks!
