Said my bye's to San Diego, my brothers, my sister, my mother, and we began the road trip to Michigan.

Although it was a difficult little journey, it was done, and boy was it all over the place.

Hello! My name is Manuel Gonzalez.

I'm a San Diego State University (SDSU) graduate, and now I'm a PhD Student at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.

From an MFA in Creative Writing to a PhD in Rhetoric & Writing, this entire channel is essentially a memory bank where I film myself going through the ups, downs, side to sides, of being a student, professor, adjunct, and every other hat you could possibly think of. These videos are meant to show you a week in the life of a graduate student and give you a behind-the-scenes look into everything PhD-related.
